Dennis L. Martire
Dennis L. Martire's enduring and resolute advancement within the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA) serves as a testament to his unwavering commitment and dedication to the well-being of union workers. Dennis has made it his personal mission to enhance working conditions and secure stable, well-paying jobs for all laborers. His journey with LiUNA commenced in April 1990 when he assumed the role of an International Representative for the LiUNA Jurisdictional Disputes Department.

Dennis L. Martire's contributions extend far beyond his role in the union. He has worked tirelessly alongside Montgomery County, Maryland officials to champion the passage of a prevailing wage law. This crucial legislation aimed to ensure that working families could confidently expect fair wages from their employers. Additionally, prevailing wage laws serve a dual role in guaranteeing a more substantial return on public investments. Extensive research consistently demonstrates that these laws do not significantly inflate costs for employers; rather, they enhance worker efficiency, resulting in swifter and more cost-effective completion of public works projects. This outcome serves the interests of taxpayers and maximizes the value of their investments.

Subsequently, Dennis L. Martire assumed leadership of the LiUNA Laborers' Construction Department, initially as an assistant Director and later as the Director of the department. In his current capacity, he serves as Vice President and Mid-Atlantic Regional Manager for the labor union, positions he has held since January 2002. His leadership extends to overseeing LiUNA’s exceptional training program, which provides continuous training opportunities for members. This program covers a wide range of subjects and specialties, equipping workers with the skills necessary to advance in their careers and assuring employers of the competence and cost-effectiveness of union workers compared to others.

Dennis L. Martire's unwavering commitment to the welfare of union workers and his dedication to LiUNA's mission underscore his significance as a leader in the labor movement. His tireless efforts continue to make a profound and enduring impact on the lives of workers and the broader labor community.
